Sanctuary provides opportunities to learn primitive skills like basket weaving, animal tracking, fire making and flint knapping. Learn more about your self with a vision quest, Native American studies or walking the wooded paths. Learn about adventure from sleeping in a log lean-to, cooking food over an open fire, snowshoeing and photography.

Women’s SUNDAY AFTERNOON TEA
Sunday, June 3, 2012 1-4 pm
Tea is the second-most consumed beverage on the planet, right after water. Learn about medicinal teas and sacred herbs that can improve women’s health. We will learn about the benefits of teas, work together to plant a spiral shape herb garden and also learn to identify some beneficial native plants. We will conclude the class with an afternoon tea tasting. Class to be held rain or shine as we have shelter to work under as needed. Class teacher is Patty Love, owner of Barefoot Edible Landscape & Permaculture.
Cost: $45-60 sliding scale based on your decision

Open Community Drumming
Friday, June 8 – Saturday, June 9, 2012
Come join us for a drum gathering around the sacred fire and to be in community with story telling, making music and lots of laughter and camaraderie. Camping is encouraged on the land overnight. The day starts with an opportunity for community service that includes projects that need attention on Sanctuary’s property. Tent setup starts at 6 pm with drumming beginning at 7 pm. Suggested donation $10.
