Sanctuary at Crowfield Farm is a welcoming community of folks who typically care about the environment, sustainability issues, teaching, outdoor adventures, building things, Native American culture, music, nature, farming and reconnecting to the rhythms of nature and mother earth.  When you feel like you want more connection with Sanctuary, there are a few different ways that can present itself.

GET INVOLVED IN OUR…..

GROWING COMMUNITY.  Clicking on the “Stay Connected” button is the easiest way to join the Sanctuary Family keeping you involved and connected.  This connection keeps you informed of all events and workshops, entitles you to first dibs on cool things to buy and with approval use of the property and buildings for your own special event.

SUPPORT NETWORK.   Volunteering provides a great connection to Sanctuary through hands on experiences as a workshop assistant, learning about construction working on the facilities team or helping to organize activities as a member of one our several committees.  Our current list of committees includes:

Events:  Plan, coordinate and run each of the workshops and events held each year.  If this sounds like something you are interested in please contact Mary Aman (315-945-6202) Committee Chair.

Marketing:  Develop new ideas and programs for people who would love Sanctuary but don’t know about us yet.  If being creative and thinking outside the box describes you then please contact Karl Mink (315-573-5213) Committee Chair.

Fundraising:  Sometimes called “fun-raising” is an important skill.  Raffles, grants and special events are all part of this important work If you like to count money and want to help us create it then contact Dennis Ponczkowski (dennisponczkowski@rochester.rr.com) Committee Chair.

Facilities:  Constructing, building and maintaining Sanctuary’s built environment.  If you like the feel of a hammer or the weight of a shovel full of dirt then please contact Chris Arthur (315-719-3668) Committee Chair.

Advertising:  Brainstorm and help get the word out about Sanctuary’s events while maintaining and updating our website and face book page.  If staying connected with people is your thing then contact Laura Jean Castelluzzo (716-465-7408) Committee Chair.

Membership:  Maintain membership database, increase new memberships and help our existing members.  If this sounds like something you are interested in please contact Greg Palmer (315-365-3439) Committee Chair.

LEADERSHIP CIRCLE.  If your calling includes leadership and decision making then the Board of Directors, with twelve current members, has openings for additional members.  If you’ve enjoyed one of our workshops or events and feel compelled to keep Sanctuary going into the future then participation on the Board may be for you.  Please contact Steve Aman, (315-945-5559) Board President.

GIVING PROGRAMS.  Donations of money are just as important as being involved personally.  We accept donations on an ongoing basis or during one of our several fundraising events throughout the year.  Your donation can be designated to our General Operating Fund, to a specific project or goal, in honor of someone special or to our newly established Land Purchase Fund.  This fund was established to purchase the 120 acres from the Aman family and to insure that Sanctuary stays connected to this very special land.   Please contact Steve Aman, (315-945-5559) Board President.
